TX Elevated Tank Painting Out for Bid

The City of Leon Valley is currently seeking contractors to paint and rehabilitate the Grass Hill Elevated Water Storage Tank in Leon Valley, Texas.

Bids are due Feb. 20.

The cost estimate is $326,000.

Scope of Work

This project involves cleaning and coating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 150,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

The City of Leon Valley is currently seeking contractors to paint and rehabilitate the Grass Hill Elevated Water Storage Tank in Leon Valley, Texas.

Contractors will abrasive blast clean the interior surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP10/NACE No. 2). The interior surfaces will then be coated with a zinc-rich primer and epoxy system.

The exterior surfaces will be abrasive blast cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP6/NACE No. 3). The exterior metal surfaces will be coated with a zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate, and polyurethane finish.

The logo will be applied with a fluoropolymer coating. The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Tnemec.
