2-Tank Painting Project Out for Bid

The Town of Seabrook is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate two Water Department Water Tanks in Seabrook, New Hampshire.

Bids are due Feb. 12. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held today (Jan. 22).

Scope of Work

This project involves recoating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 720,000-gallon standpipe and recoating the exterior surfaces of an existing 1 million-gallon elevated water storage tank.

Town of Seabrook

The Town of Seabrook is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate two Water Department Water Tanks in Seabrook, New Hampshire.

Contractors will abrasive blast clean the interior wet surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP10/NACE 2). The interior surfaces will then be coated with a zinc-rich primer and epoxy finish.

Interior dry surfaces will be spot power-tool cleaned to Bare Metal standards (SSPC-SP11) and coated with a zinc-rich primer and two-coat epoxy system.

The work also includes spot power-tool cleaning the exterior surfaces to Bare Metal standards (SSPC-SP11). The exterior metal surfaces will be coated with a zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate, polyurethane intermediate and fluoropolymer finish.

Metal piping surfaces will be abrasive blast cleaned to Near White standards (SSPC-SP10) and coated with a three-coat epoxy system.

The owner-approved coating manufacturers include Tnemec, Sherwin-Williams, PPG or an approved equal.
