CA Elevated Tank Painting Project Out for Bid

The City of Manhattan Beach is currently seeking contractors to coat the Block 35 Elevated Tank in Manhattan Beach, California.

Bids are due Jan. 6.

Scope of Work

This project involves recoating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 300,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

The City of Manhattan Beach is currently seeking contractors to coat the Block 35 Elevated Tank in Manhattan Beach, California.

Contractors will abrasive blast-clean the exterior surfaces of the tank to Near-White Standards (SSPC-SP 10). The exterior surfaces will be coated with an epoxy-urethane system.

The interior tank surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Near-White Standards (SSPC-SP 10) and coated with a 100% solids epoxy coating system

The owner-approved coating manufacturers include Tnemec, International and Devoe.

Contractors are also required to perform dehumidification services.
