The project includes preparation and painting of existing structural steel members. The steel will then be coated with the Texas Department of Transportation System I-A one-coat overcoating or an acrylic cured aliphatic urethane system. Approved manufacturers are Carboline, CSL Silicones and Sherwin-Williams. Existing coatings are considered hazardous. Containment is required.

Work will include 10,000 square feet of exterior coating of towers. The project will also include 12,000 square feet of exterior coating of anchor houses. Existing roofing will require coating with a water-based acrylic top coat. The approved manufacturer is GAF, or an approved equivalent.

Certification to SSPC-QP 1 is required.
