FL Fire Station Seeking Bid for Repairs

Seminole County in Florida is seeking bids for the repairs of Fire Station 11. This project takes place in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Bids are due for this project on Dec. 11.

Scope of Work

This project involves the various renovations and repairs to an existing fire station.

Seminole County in Florida is seeking bids for the repairs of Fire Station 11. This project takes place in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

All exterior concrete masonry surfaces will be coated using a three-coat system. All aluminum and galvanized metals will be coated using a three-coat acrylic system. All ferrous structural metal will be coated using a three-coat acrylic system.

As for interior surfaces, gypsum and concrete will be coated using a three-coat system consisting of acrylic and satin coating systems. All interior metals will be coated using a three-coat system consisting of epoxy and acrylic urethane coating systems. All service jacket surfaces will receive a two-coat system consisting of acrylic coating systems. All plywood will receive a three-coat latex and acrylic coating system. Finally, all exposed ceiling structures will be coated using a two-coat system consisting of one coat alkyd and one coat acrylic.

Surface preparation occurring on touch-up paint will use the standards associated with Hand-Tool or Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC SP-2/SSPC SP-3). All steel surfaces will be prepared using the standards associated with Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSCP-SP 6).

Approved coating manufacturers are: Benjamin Moore, Flame Control, Sherwin-Williams and PPG.
