TX Elevated Tank Rehab Out for Bid

The Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 116 is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate a 250,000-gallon elevated water storage tank in Houston.

Bids are due Oct. 30. The cost estimate is $335,000.

Scope of Work

This project involves rehabilitating and recoating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 250,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

The Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 116 is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate a 250,000-gallon elevated water storage tank in Houston.

Contractors will power wash and spot clean the interior bowl surfaces to Bare-Metal Standards (SSPC-SP 11). The interior surfaces will then be coated with a two-coat epoxy system.

The exterior tank and dry interior base pedestal piping surfaces will be abrasive-blast cleaned to Near-White Standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE 2) and coated with a three-coat epoxy-polyurethane system.

The owner approved coating manufacturers include Tnemec, Carboline and PPG.
