The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District is seeking bids for the Meek Mansion Painting Project in Hayward, California.
The Meek Mansion was built in 1869 by William Meek. This particular mansion is rumored to be an active site for the paranormal, and the mansion hosts various paranormal investigations.
Bids are due for this project on Oct. 25.

This project involves the historic preservation of the Meek Mansion and includes the coating of the mansion using an acrylic coating system.

All interior plaster surfaces in this project will receive a three-coat system that consists of one coat of primer and two coats of latex. Wood interior surfaces within this project will receive a three-coat system that consists of one coat of primer and two coats of acrylic semi-gloss. All interior metal surfaces will receive a two-coat system consisting of latex.
Exterior plaster surfaces will receive a three-coat system consisting of a primer followed by two coats of latex. All exterior wood surfaces in this project will receive a three-coat system consisting of a latex wood primer followed by two coats of exterior latex. Exterior metal surfaces will receive a three-coat system that consists of a prime coat and two coats of industrial acrylic. Any exterior concrete surface will receive a two-coat system that consists of two coats of exterior latex. Finally, a three-coat system consisting of one coat of primer followed by two coats of exterior latex will be applied to all exterior brick surfaces.
The approved coating manufacturer is Sherwin-Williams.
