This project involves the renovation of an existing Bibliotech, which is a digital library. Services for this project will include exterior glazing, door modifications, shade modifications, signage work and guardrail modification.

Bexar County is seeking contractors for the Bibliotech East renovation upgrades project, located in San Antonio, Texas.

All gypsum surfaces within this project will be coated using a two-coat latex coating system. All interior ferrous metal surfaces will be coated using a two-coat-system with the first coat being an interior enamel undercoat and the second coat an odorless interior semi-gloss enamel.
Exterior metal surfaces will be coated using a two-coat system consisting of a polyurethane coating. Any interior zinc-coated metal surfaces will receive a three-coat system that consists of a zinc dust, interior enamel and odorless alkyd semi-gloss enamel. All exterior zinc-coated metal will be coated using a three-coat system consisting of a semi-gloss polyurethane. Last, all wood surfaces will be coated using a three-coat system that consists of an enamel undercoat and two coats of an odorless interior semi-gloss enamel.
Surface preparation will occur on metal surfaces using the standards associated with Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6) and Power-Tool Cleaning (SSPC-SP 3). Any shop painting in this project will comply with the standards of Touching Up Shop-Painted Surfaces (SSPC-PA 1).
Approved coating manufacturers are Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams or an approved equal.
