PA Tank Coating Project Out for Bid

The Bentleyville Municipal Authority is currently seeking contractors to coat an existing ground storage tank in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania. 

Bids are due Feb. 8.

The project is estimated to cost $70,000.

Scope of Work

This project involves cleaning and coating an existing 500,000-gallon ground water storage tank.

The Bentleyville Municipal Authority is currently seeking contractors to coat an existing ground storage tank in Bentleyville, Pennsylvania. 

Contractors will prepare and coat the tank interior, exterior and piping surfaces.

The tank is approximately 25 feet high and 60 feet in diameter. The work also includes disinfection and minor repairs.

The interior tank surfaces have been tested for the presence of lead, and lead is present. Contractors are responsible for disposal and lead exposure precautions.

The owner-approved coating manufacturer is Tnemec, or an approved equal.
