MN Elevated Water Tanks Rehab Out for Bid

The City of Pine River is seeking contractors to rehabilitate two existing elevated water storage tanks in Pine River, Minnesota. 

Bids are due Dec. 18.

Scope of Work

This project involves rehabilitating and recoating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 75,000-gallon elevated water storage tank and an existing 150,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

Contractors will abrasive blast-clean the interior surfaces of both tanks to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No.2). The interior surfaces will then be coated with a zinc-rich primer and two-coat epoxy system.

The City of Pine River is seeking contractors to rehabilitate two existing elevated water storage tanks in Pine River, Minnesota. 

The exterior surfaces of the 75,000-gallon tower will be power washed (SSPC-SP 12, WJ-4) and overcoated with an epoxy spot primer, epoxy intermediate and polyurethane finish.

The exterior surfaces of the 150,000-gallon tower will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No.3) and coated with a zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate and polyurethane finish.

The work also includes repairing the concrete foundation surfaces.

Owner-approved coating manufacturers include Tnemec and Sherwin-Williams.

A containment system is required.
