Iowa Lakes Regional Water is seeking contractors to paint an existing elevated water storage tank in Ayrshire, Iowa.

Contractors will abrasive blast-clean the wet interior tank surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10 / NACE No. 2). The interior surfaces will then be coated with a zinc-rich urethane primer and two-coat epoxy system. The alternative coating system includes a zinc-rich urethane primer and epoxy finish.
The exterior tank surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6 / NACE No. 3) and coated with a zinc-rich urethane primer and two-coat acrylic-polyurethane system. The alternative coating system includes a zinc-rich urethane primer, acrylic-polyurethane intermediate and fluoropolymer-polyurethane finish.
Owner-approved coating manufacturers include Tnemec, Sherwin-Williams or an approved equal. A containment system is required.
