Painting Needed at CA Baseball Stadium

The City of Lake Elsinore, California, is seeking a contractor to perform exterior painting work at Diamond Stadium, a minor league baseball stadium.

Lake Elsinore Diamond Stadium is home to the Lake Elsinore Storm minor league baseball team. The space has a capacity for approximately 6,000 people. The building opened in 1994 along with the debut of the team, which is a farm team for the San Diego Padres.

The City of Lake Elsinore, California, is seeking a contractor to perform exterior painting work at Diamond Stadium, a minor league baseball stadium.

Bids are due for this project by Nov.14. There is a mandatory job walk scheduled for Oct. 30.

Scope of Work 

The awarded contractor is responsible for coating the interior and exterior surfaces of the stadium.

The project will involve various coatings applications to the exterior of the stadium including the metal roof, concourses, towers, press box, various supports and beams, walls, previously painted masonry surfaces, handrails, wrought iron gates/entries/stairways and exterior and concourse doors.

Specific surface preparation of the stadium includes pressure washing all surfaces to be painted, and removing loose scale and peeling paint. Heavy rust areas are required to be hand-tool or mechanically cleaned to remove excess rust. The project also includes covering and protecting windows, lights, brick, signs and security cameras, as well as protecting canopies from overspray.

The contractor is required to have been in business for three years and to be able to provide a valid certificate of liability insurance.

Owner-approved brands are Vista, Behr, Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams.
