The City of Dixon, California, is seeking contractors for the exterior coating and siding repairs at the Dixon City Hall, Engineering Department Office and Engineering Trailer.

This project is estimated to cost $109,000. Bids are due for this project by Nov. 1.

Scope of Work

The awarded contractor is responsible for the rehabilitation and coating of three buildings. Prior to coating, the contractor is to demolish and replace or treat any deteriorating siding and trim work. Once all repairs have been made, the contractor can then remove all hardware and accessories not to be finish-painted. All wood surfaces are then to be cleaned with scrapers, spirits and sandpaper as required.

Once all exterior surfaces have been properly prepared, the contractor may then apply a prime coat to the buildings’ exterior surfaces. The main siding will then be coated with KM4616 Sacred Ground and the trim will be coated with KMA77 Brown Bear. The contractor is to apply additional coats until undercoats, stains or other conditions no longer show through.

This project is expected to be completed within 25 working days. The owner-approved brand is Kelly Moore or an approved equal.
