The City of New York is seeking contractors to perform preventive maintenance on the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg and Queensboro bridges, located in New York, New York.

The contract includes a combined 50,000 square feet of spray-applied waterproofing membrane application across all bridge structures. Areas to receive waterproofing will first require abrasive blast-cleaning and application of a primer to substrate surfaces.

Contractors will oversee 21,000 square feet of overcoating across all bridge structures using Paint System B. The steel will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10) followed by application of a spot epoxy zinc-rich primer, epoxy penetrating sealer, epoxy intermediate and urethane finish coating. The owner-approved manufacturers are Ameron, Carboline, ICI Devoe, MAB and Sherwin-Williams. Containment, treatment and disposal of coatings is required.

All bridges will receive three cycles of maintenance cleaning and pressure-washing.
