Sarpy County is looking for contractors to perform exterior painting work at Werner Park, a minor league baseball stadium in Papillion, Nebraska.

The contractor will be responsible for the surface preparation of beams, columns and any other ferrous metal surfaces that have been previously painted, excluding doors and frames. The cleaning methods are to be conducted to Power Tool (SSPC-SP 3) standards and via pressure washing where applicable. Where columns and other ferrous metal surfaces are scheduled to be coated, the contractor will use power tools to clean to bare metal (SSPC-SP 11).

When the surfaces have been properly prepared, the contractor is to spot-prime bare metal surfaces with a urethane zinc-rich primer and coat with a water-based acrylic urethane. Base plates and the bottom 12 inches of columns will receive a full prime coat of a urethane zinc-rich coating system between spot-priming and finish-coating applications.

This project is to be completed by Dec. 14. The owner specified brand is Sherwin-Williams.
