The City of Seguin, Texas, is seeking contractors for the rehabilitation of its Seguin Lucile Street Elevated Water Storage Tank.

Bids are due Aug. 21. The project is estimated at $600,000.
Scope of Work
This project involves rehabilitating the interior and exterior surfaces of an existing 1 million-gallon elevated water storage tank.
Contractors will abrasive blast-clean interior tank surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE NO. 2). The interior will then be coated with a zinc-rich primer and epoxy system.
The exterior tank surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE NO.3), and coated with a zinc-rich primer, epoxy intermediate and modified polycarbamide finish.
The work also includes power-tool cleaning piping surfaces to Hand- or Power-Tool standards (SSPC-SP2/SSPC-SP3). The piping surfaces will then be coated with an epoxy-polycarbamide system.
The concrete tank pedestal will be pressure-washed.
The owner-approved coating manufacturers is Tnemec.
