Contractors Needed for Interior Library Painting

Chester County is seeking contractors to paint the interior of the Hankin Library, located in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania.

Bids are due June 27.

Scope of Work 

This project includes the preparation and coating of walls and door jambs in the interior of the Hankin Library. Any contractors applying for this project must have five years minimum experience in commercial coatings and application of finishing systems. During this work, the contractor is responsible for the protection of all furnishings, fixtures, equipment, books and flooring.

The contractor will apply appropriate patching material to scrapes, gouges, cracks, corner beads, nail holes and any other surface imperfections while preparing surfaces for coating application. All patched areas will be sanded and primed prior to applying finish coats of paint. Painted door jambs will also be sanded to a sound substance. Before applying finishing coatings, the contractor shall submit current color chips of specified paint to county offiials to confirm color selection.

Once all surfaces have been prepared and primed, the awarded contractor will apply two coats of high-performance interior acrylic enamel to specified wall and door jamb surfaces.

The project is anticipated to be completed within 45 days of the Notice to Proceed by the County. The anticipated notice to proceed date July 20.
