Two-Tank Rehab Out for Bid

The Pine Brook Water District is seeking contractors for the recoating and rehabilitation of two ground water storage tanks in Boulder, Colorado.

Bids are due May 31. Interested contractors must schedule a site visit prior to the bid date to be eligible to bid.

Scope of Work

This project involves recoating the interior and exterior surfaces of existing 50,000-gallon and 100,000-gallon steel ground water storage tanks. The work also includes repairing the existing concrete tank foundations.

The Pine Brook Water District is seeking contractors for the recoating and rehabilitation of two ground water storage tanks in Boulder, Colorado.

Contractors will abrasive blast-clean interior tank surfaces to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10). The interior surfaces will then be coated with a zinc-rich urethane primer and two-coat epoxy system.

Exterior tank surfaces will be abrasive blast-cleaned to Commercial standards (SSPC-SP 6) and coated with a zinc-rich urethane primer, acrylic-polyurethane intermediate and fluoropolymer finish.

Owner-approved coating manufacturers include Devoe, Sherwin-Williams, Tnemec, Porter and Carboline.

Containment and disposal of debris and a one-year anniversary inspection will be required.
