Fond du Lac Bypass Bridge Contract Awarded

Northeast Asphalt Inc. has been awarded a $4,272,425.59 project by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for rehabilitation of the Fond du Lac Bypass Bridge, located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

The project bid March 13.

Northeast Asphalt Inc. of Fond du Lac, was the lower of two bidders. The second lowest bidder was Michels Corporation of Brownsville, Wisconsin, in the amount of $4,585,232.78.

Scope of Work

The awarded contractor will oversee bridge deck replacement, rehabilitation, and box culvert construction on the bridge, which carries U.S. Highway 45 over U.S. Highway 151.

Northeast Asphalt Inc. has been awarded a $4,272,425.59 project by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for rehabilitation of the Fond du Lac Bypass Bridge, located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

The contractor will complete 338 square yards of protective surface treatment application. The owner-approved manufacturers are Advanced Chemical Technologies, BASF, ChemMasters, Vexcon, Euclid, TK Products and Universal Form. The project will also include 152 square yards of pigmented surface sealant application.

Work will include 26 square yards of rubberized membrane waterproofing application. The owner-approved manufacturers are WR Grace, Protecto Wrap, Carlisle, WR Meadows and Tamko. Contractors will also oversee 106 square yards of sheet membrane waterproofing application to be applied on top slabs.

The contractor will complete 310 square feet of multi-color concrete staining application and 3,110 square feet of architectural surface treatment application.

The contract has an estimated contract completion time of 85 working days.
